Look what’s going on at Central! CLUBS MODEL UN TEAM “SITS” ON SECURITY COUNCIL Central sent a team of some 20
members to a four-day conference sponsored by the University of Chicago in
early February. More than 2500 students from around the world gathered to
participate in simulated United Nations proceedings. Our team represented
Norway, taking its place on the Security Council and conducting in its
duties as international peacekeeper. FORENSIC TEAM WINS TOURNAMENT First place honors at the Proviso
East Speech Tournament, which attracted 26 schools, went to Central’s
forensic team. In addition, four students individually took five first
place finishes. LIFE CLUB TAKES 3 FIRSTS Central students took top honors at
the regional Family, Career and Community Leaders of America competition.
First place awards were earned for Parliamentary Procedure, Career Image,
and Tailored Garment. |
