2006 Inductee Ken Boston

Field of Distinction:  Athletics

Ken Boston

This 1962 graduate was one of the finest athletes ever to attend HTHS and the University of Missouri. A successful captain in three sports in high school, he was named All-State in football and was awarded a full scholarship to the University of Missouri where he was the Most Valuable Player in the Sugar Bowl, named to that university’s All Century Football Team and still holds several school records. He then served as a Green Beret in Vietnam. His subsequent successful career in the steel industry was ended by a massive stroke while undergoing orthopedic surgery. Ken has recently devoted his life to community service in the Hinsdale area including Christ Church, Boosters Club, prostate cancer, and our Hinsdale Central Foundation. Ken is an inspiring and wonderful ambassador for the high school.
