Bill
was a 1959 graduate of Hinsdale Township High School where he was an
outstanding student and athlete.
He received his undergraduate degree at Princeton University in
1953. While
at Princeton, he was a starting forward on its 1963 NCAA Basketball team.
He received his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1965.
He began his business career with Quaker Oats.
In the early 1980s he and several partners purchased QO
Chemicals, Inc.
Bill ran the business until 1987, when it was sold.
In
retirement, Bill was an active community volunteer and philanthropist.
He was President of the Hinsdale Golf Club, Chairman of the
Hinsdale Community House and the Wellness House.
He also served important volunteer roles in Hinsdale village
government.
Bill
is survived by his wife Lynne and his sons Bill and Blair.
