A
1959 graduate of Hinsdale Central High School and President of his Senior
class, Dennis Keller went on to earn his undergraduate degree in economics
from Princeton University, where he was a National Merit Scholar. He
received his Master's Degree in Business Administration from the
University of Chicago in 1968, and was a Graduate School of Business
Fellow. During his business career he held positions in marketing and
sales with Motorola and Bell & Howell.
In 1973, he co-founded Keller Graduate School of Management, and in 1987
Keller Graduate School acquired the assets of DeVry, Inc., the holding
company for DeVry Institutes of Technology. He is a director of NICOR, the
Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, and The Great Books Foundation, to name a
few. He is a trustee of Rush Presbyterian St. Lukes Medical Center, the
Glenwood School for Boys, and the George M. Pullman Educational
Foundation. In April, 1996, he was appointed to the Illinois Human
Resource Investment Council by Gov. Jim Edgar.
Mr. Keller is a member of the Board of Trustees of Princeton Univer- sity
and is also Chairman of the University's School of Engineering and Applied
Sciences Leadership Council. He is the Chairman of the Graduate School of
Business Council for the University of Chicago.
He is one of the sponsors of the Peter Winston Friend Scholarship awarded
annually at Hinsdale Central. As was written in the 1959 El Diablo,
Dennis is a "tremendous president, a wonderful athlete, stupendous
student, and a fabulous citizen."
Keller, a Hinsdale resident, is married and has three sons.
